“Blinken Visits Israel to Push for Gaza Ceasefire Amid Rising Regional Tensions”

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is visiting Israel to advocate for a ceasefire in Gaza, following his administration’s call for the Lebanon war to end “as soon as possible.

” This marks his 11th trip to the Middle East since Hamas’s attack on Israel over a year ago, which led to the Gaza conflict, and his first since tensions with Hezbollah intensified last month.

Blinken is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior officials as Israel considers its response to Iran’s missile attack on October 1.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon, an Israeli strike hit an area in southern Beirut housing the country’s largest public health facility, resulting in 13 deaths, according to the health ministry.
