New app assists young people in obtaining free condoms.

Wiltshire Council is launching the eC-Card app to help young people locate free condoms and access information about sexual health. This initiative complements the existing No Worries service, which provides sexual health advice and support for individuals aged 13 to 24. Young people can use the service without needing to register with a specific GP practice.

Kate Blackburn, Wiltshire’s Director for Public Health, emphasized the importance of empowering young people to approach sexuality and relationships positively and respectfully. She noted that the service is discreet and confidential, providing a safe space for inquiries.

The No Worries service also offers emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, and chlamydia self-testing kits. Wiltshire Council aims to partner with more local venues, including colleges, schools, and libraries, to distribute condoms more widely.
